Porcelain Veneers Photos: Three Featured Cases
Dr. Clint Newman is a highly trained cosmetic dentist in Nashville who has the dental training and aesthetic skill to create beautiful and natural looking smiles. Although Dr. Newman offers many dental services, one treatment that is gaining popularity among our patients is the placement of porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers are a versatile treatment option that can mask a range of dental imperfections, including discolored, chipped, cracked, gapped, misshaped, and crooked teeth. In this blog post, we feature three of Dr. Newman's patients that have had porcelain veneers placed.
We invite prospective patients to view the before and after photos of our porcelain veneers patients; these photos demonstrate the impressive results that Dr. Newman can produce.
Porcelain Veneers Photos - Case #1
Before Treatment:
When this patient came to us, he had a chipped tooth, poor bonding work, and some minor yellowing of the teeth. Other than these aesthetic problems, the teeth and gums were healthy, making this patient a suitable candidate for cosmetic dental work. Dr. Newman determined that the best course of treatment would be the placement of porcelain veneers.
After Treatment:
To limit treatment to other teeth, Dr. Newman placed just four porcelain veneers. Despite only placing four veneers, Dr. Newman was able to achieve a striking improvement in the appearance of this patient's smile. Because the veneers were custom made for the patient, their color and shape blends in seamlessly with surrounding teeth. This patient is thrilled with his results and can now smile with confidence.

Before Treatment:
This patient was extremely unhappy with the color of the teeth, as well as the small space between the front two incisors. In addition, the teeth were slightly misshapen and worn. These dental problems tend to worsen as we age and can make patients look much older than they actually are. To correct these cosmetic flaws, Dr. Newman placed porcelain veneers on the front, upper teeth.
After Treatment:
This particular case involved the placement of four porcelain veneers, and some contouring of the canine teeth. The result is a youthful and natural looking smile. Dr. Newman and the patient were happy with the results of treatment; Dr. Newman was able to maintain a conservative approach while still achieving a significant improvement in the appearance of the patient's smile.
Porcelain Veneers Photos - Case #3
Before Treatment:
This patient was self-conscious about the gap between the front teeth, as well as the discoloration of the teeth. Since the front teeth were affected by decalcification (a condition that is caused by the build up of plaque, and results in a loss of calcium and tooth erosion), this patient was not an ideal candidate for teeth whitening. Instead, Dr. Newman recommended the placement of four porcelain veneers.
After Treatment:
During treatment, Dr. Newman prepped this patient's front four teeth by removing a small amount of the tooth surface. Next, an impression of the front, upper teeth was taken so the veneers could be custom fabricated for the patient. Finally, the veneers were placed and securely bonded to the existing teeth. The closing of the gap and treatment of the discoloration resulted in a dramatic improvement of the patient's smile.
